History suggests Brewers will make a deal  —  MILWAUKEE — Brewers general manager Doug Melvin has been downplaying the urgency to make a deal ahead of Thursday's 3 p.m. CT non-waiver Trade Deadline, but history says the likelihood of some sort of move is high.

Machado, Orioles Get Past Mariners 3-2 in 10  —  SEATTLE — Manny Machado lifted a bases-loaded sacrifice fly in the 10th inning and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Seattle Mariners 3-2 Sunday.  —  Adam Jones opened the 10th with a double into the left-field corner off Yoervis Medina (4-2).

Braves Score 6 Runs in 3rd, Beat Padres 8-3  —  ATLANTA — Chris Johnson and Ryan Doumit each drove in two runs during Atlanta's six-run third inning and the Braves beat Eric Stults the San Diego Padres 8-3 on Sunday.  —  The Braves trailed 1-0 before roughing up Stults (3-13).
