Cardinals get lefty Mike Maroth — For the second time this week, the Cardinals moved to acquire a major-league starting pitcher who had just shaken loose from another club's rotation. The Cardinals traded for Detroit lefthander Mike Maroth in a deal finalized today, major-league sources confirmed to the Post-Dispatch.
