Mets activate newly acquired outfielder Nixon  —  NEW YORK (AP) -Trot Nixon, acquired by the New York Mets in a trade the previous night with Arizona, arrived about 25 minutes before the scheduled first pitch Saturday night and was activated for the game against the Texas Rangers.
