In Posey and Pitchers, Shades of an Earlier Champion  —  Buster Posey didn't get called up by the San Francisco Giants this season until May, but he accomplished a lot.  Including becoming the first rookie to be the regular starting catcher for a World Series champion in more than 40 years.
