Reyes Hitless in NY Return, Mets Beat Marlins 2-1  —  NEW YORK (AP) — Jose Reyes went hitless in his return to Citi Field and Lucas Duda lined a tiebreaking single in the eighth inning that caromed off reliever Edward Mujica, sending the New York Mets to a 2-1 victory over the Florida Marlins on Tuesday night.

Orioles Beat Blue Jays 2-1  —  BALTIMORE (AP) — Tommy Hunter allowed three hits over six innings, Matt Wieters homered off the glove of left fielder Eric Thames, and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 on Tuesday night.  —  Hunter (2-1) allowed one run, walked three and struck out three.

Narveson to have season-ending surgery  —  Chris Narveson just told reporters that the second opinion on his left shoulder was the same as the first — he needs season-ending surgery to repair a partially torn rotator cuff.  Dr. Lewis Yocum will perform the surgery, which will require a 6-9 month rehab, Narveson said.

Michael Pineda to get 2nd opinion  —  ARLINGTON, Texas — New York Yankees pitcher Michael Pineda was examined by team physicians after undergoing an MRI on his shoulder Tuesday in New York, but the team did not announce the results because the pitcher's agent requested he get a second opinion on Wednesday.
