Jeter, Yankees agree: three years, up to $51M, tricky option  —  Tweet  —  The Yankees and Derek Jeter will finalize a three-year deal today after hammering out the final details on a contract that will pay the captain between $15 million and $17 million a year, according to a person briefed on the situation.

Some details on the Gonzalez deal  —  It appears the Red Sox will obtain Adrian Gonzalez from the Padres for RHP Casey Kelly, 1B Anthony Rizzo and CF Rey Fuentes.  —  If that proves to be the case — and nothing is final quite yet — the Red Sox will have done quite well to retain Jose Iglesias and Ryan Kalish.

Yankees, Derek Jeter Finalize Contract  —  The Yankees and Derek Jeter have dotted the Is and crossed the Ts on a three-year deal, reports Jack Curry of the YES Network (via Twitter).  —  Under the deal, Jeter will make $51MM across the first three seasons with a $8MM player option for the fourth year, Curry tweets.

Party's over for Padres: A-Gone is just that after trade to Boston  —  Multiple sources are reporting on Saturday morning that the San Diego Padres and Boston Red Sox have agreed on a trade that will finally send first baseman Adrian Gonzalez  —  to Fenway Park for a package of minor leaguers.

Padres, Red Sox agree on Adrian Gonzalez trade  —  UPDATE: According to Sean McAdam of CSNNE.com, Adrian Gonzalez has already completed a physical with the Red Sox.  McAdam was told that Gonzalez's surgically-repaired right shoulder “should be just fine,” but that there are “minor tests” that still need to be completed.

Curry: Jeter, Yanks to agree on deal  —  Derek Jeter will agree to a 3-year contract for roughly $50 million with the Yankees in the next 24 to 48 hours, according to a person who has been briefed on the negotiations.  The deal will include a creative fourth-year option, which was the final element that was being discussed on Saturday.
